I am interested in translational optoacoustic imaging as a method to obtain information about the molecular composition of biological tissues based on endogenous chromophores. My goal is to use multispectral imaging in murine colitis models to monitor disease progression by means of signal intensities and patterns for inflammation and fibrosis. Finally, we want to transfer these label-free, non-invasive diagnostics into clinics to improve patient care.
