The VISIONLAB is seeking to appoint an individual with a PhD (or equivalent) in biological or biomedical sciences and experience with in vivo experimentation ideally involving molecular imaging. Experience in studying the roles of angiogenesis and/or oxidative stress in cancer is desirable. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a track record of scientific publication and presentation at international research meetings, commensurate with their research experience. Attention to detail in experimental design and execution is required. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the laboratory, communication skills and team working skills are essential. Key responsibilities will include: management of a multidisciplinary research project encompassing optoacoustic and magnetic resonance imaging; supervision of graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory; assay development and optimisation; collection and analysis of data from in vivo and ex vivo experiments; and the management of research collaborations both locally within the Institute and internationally.
