Adrian’s paper on mesoscopic photoacoustic imaging in the colon is published!

Adrian Buehler joined us for a visiting research stay in the lab during the early phase of his PhD as part of a collaboration with Adrian Regensburger and Ferdinand Knieling in Erlangen. Adrian spent his time with us applying endoscopy and photoacoustic imaging to the study of colitis in mouse models, with the aim of examining inflammation-associated vascular changes. To enable this study, Adrian developed the TAG-RSOM, a method that enables visualisation of the colon non-invasively with mesoscopic photoacoustic imaging. You can now read more about the method and his exciting findings from applying it in colitis here!
