James’s paper on photoacoustic imaging of DNA nanostructures published

Posted on By Sarah Bohndiek

James created a range of nanostructures using DNA with precisely positioned fluorophore–quencher pairs over a range of nanoscale separation distances. Performing photoacoustic imaging of the DNA nanostructures showed distance-dependent photoacoustic signal enhancement and demonstrated the ability of photoacoustic imaging to reveal the quenching processes deep within tissue mimicking phantoms.
