Lina’s paper on photoacoustic sensing of haemoglobin published.

Posted on By Sarah Bohndiek

Lina has been investigating how photoacoustic imaging can be used to resolve species-specific differences in haemoglobin concentration and oxygen dissociation curves. Lina’s results show a clear relationship between photoacoustically determined haemoglobin biomarkers and their biochemically measured counterparts. Her data also provide insight into the potential for photoacoustics to be applied to study species-specific changes and also dyshaemoglobins that arise in pathological conditions. We’re excited to see the paper published now in Journal of Biomedical Optics, as Lina’s first!
