Dr Sarah Bohndiek from the Cancer Research UK Institute at the University of Cambridge, was announced last night as the winner of the WISE Research Award, sponsored by the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Wellcome Trust, for using physics and engineering to develop tools for early cancer detection.
