The aim of my work is to develop an imaging system incorporating hyperspectral imaging, polarized light imaging, and spatial frequency domain imaging to extract data on a wide range of optical properties in order to understand how these attributes change through the progression of disease. The system will be used clinically to build a database of optical properties for esophageal tissue, which will ultimately motivate an effort to non-invasively identify and grade diseased tissue.
